The first phase of sail dates, covering travel from the beginning of the year through Spring 2024, was announced in December 2022. The Disney Wonder cruise ship starts 2024 in the southern hemisphere, continuing the inaugural season of Disney’s Australia and New Zealand cruises which began in October 2023. These cruises sail out of Sydney, Australia and Melbourne, Australia in January and early February. In Fort Lauderdale, the ship will mainly sail on Bahamian itineraries (featuring Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Disney’s newest private port), with an occasional Caribbean cruise in the mix. Disney Dream sailings between mid-September and mid-October are not yet released, but it’s likely the ship will remain in Europe during that timeframe. February 2024 Disney Cruises

The Disney Magic will homeport in Fort Lauderdale during the summer. Sailings for Winter 2024 (October through December, and a few early 2025 itineraries) were announced on June 13, 2023. They went on sale for Pearl Castaway Club members on June 19, Platinum Castaway Club members on June 20, Gold members on June 21, Silver members, Adventures Insiders and DVC members on June 22, and everyone else on June 26. Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on Eleuthera, Bahamas, is Disney’s newest private destination — and it’s certainly been highly anticipated.

Upon returning for another month-long stint between March and April, the ship will sail cruises ranging from four to seven nights to the western Caribbean during the popular spring break period. The Disney Dream will begin early 2024 with an assortment of cruises to the Bahamas and western Caribbean. Please note, the port order may be different and will be adjusted once the full detailed itineraries are available to view on Disney Cruise Line’s website. There are a number of conflicts at Castaway Cay that will be resolved once the actual itineraries for each sailing are revealed.

Because of the rising temperatures and low possibility of precipitation, March is one of the best months for a cruise in the Bahamas and Caribbean. Weather-wise, with average daytime highs of 83 degrees Fahrenheit in the south islands and lows of 73 degrees Fahrenheit in the northern islands, it's hard to beat March in the Caribbean.
